Black Starliner

Zak Ové

Design, fabrication and installation of a 13 m tall Afro-Futurist sculpture commissioned by the Louvre Abu Dhabi as a celebration of African history and culture for the Kings and Queens exhibition.

The artwork showcases a wide variety of fabrication techniques, from folded and welded laser and water-jet cut aluminium, with cast resin and polycarbonate elements, combined with high specification paint finishes and lighting, built around a galvanised steel primary frame for strength and longevity.

White Wall worked closely with EnvisoAV on the lighting for adaptable lighting effects for different conditions and events.
